FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about matching, loans, and your data.

What is GC Does Loans?

GC Does Loans LLC is a U.S. loan matching company based in Boulder, Colorado. We connect consumers who are looking for a personal loan with participating lenders in our network.

In the App Store the application is listed as Cash Advance: GC Payday Loans. GC Does Loans is our marketing name for the same service.

We are not a bank or online lender. We do not issue loans, hold deposits, or make credit decisions. When you use our service, you complete a lender's own application and that lender decides whether to offer you credit and on what terms.

Is GC Does Loans a bank or lender?

No. GC Does Loans is a matching platform only. We never underwrite loans, set your interest rate, collect monthly payments, or report loan performance to credit bureaus as a creditor.

After you are matched, your relationship is with the lender you choose. For balances, due dates, payoff amounts, or servicing issues, contact that lender directly.

Does using GC Does Loans cost money?

There is no fee from GC Does Loans to download the app or to be matched with a lender. We do not charge borrowers a matching fee.

Your lender may charge origination fees, late fees, or other costs as described in its loan agreement before you accept an offer. Read those disclosures carefully — they are separate from our service.

Who can apply?

Generally, you must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama and Nebraska; 21 in Mississippi and Puerto Rico where applicable), a legal U.S. resident with a valid Social Security number, and have an iPhone running iOS 15.0 or later.

Lenders typically also require verifiable income and an active checking account. Meeting these basics does not guarantee approval — each creditor applies its own rules. See our Eligibility page for more detail.

How does matching work?

You choose a loan amount, provide basic contact and profile information, and we use that to route you toward participating lenders that may fit your request. If you proceed, you are redirected to that lender's secure application.

The lender — not GC Does Loans — reviews your application, runs any credit checks it requires, and decides whether to approve you and at what APR and term. The full step-by-step flow is on our How It Works page.

Am I guaranteed a loan if I apply?

No. Submitting information through GC Does Loans does not guarantee an offer or approval. Many applications are declined based on credit history, income, state law, or other lender criteria.

Illustrative ranges on our site (for example $50–$5,000 and APR between 4% and 35.99%) show what the network may cover — they are not a promise that you will qualify for any specific product.

What loan amounts and APR should I expect?

Across our lender network, personal loan amounts often fall between $50 and $5,000, with repayment periods from about 70 days to 36 months. Your actual offer may be outside those ranges.

APR is determined solely by the lender based on your credit profile, loan amount, and term. We publish a representative example for illustration only — your rate can be higher or lower, and lenders may charge additional fees.

Will applying affect my credit score?

It depends on the lender and the stage of the process. Some creditors use a soft inquiry that does not impact your score; others perform a hard pull when you submit a full application, which may appear on your credit report.

GC Does Loans does not make lending decisions and does not decide which type of inquiry a lender uses. Review each lender's disclosures before you continue past the matching step.

Will I receive spam calls or unwanted marketing?

When you submit a request, we may sell or share your information with lenders and partners in our network who may contact you by phone, email, or SMS about loan or financial products, subject to your consent where required by law.

We may transfer lead information to participating lenders and related partners in connection with your request, and those transfers may be treated as a “sale” under some privacy laws. You can opt out of future sales by emailing legal@gcdoesloans.com — see our Privacy Policy. A lender you apply with may also contact you under its own policies; use that lender's opt-out methods where provided.

What can I use a personal loan for?

Common uses include one-time purchases, car repair, travel, medical bills, home improvement, and debt consolidation. Whether a specific use is allowed is up to the lender you apply with.

We list typical categories on our Rates & Fees page. Final eligibility for any purpose is always decided by the creditor, not by GC Does Loans.

How is my information used and protected?

We collect information you enter in the app to facilitate matching with lenders and partners. We do not use your data to make independent credit decisions because we are not a lender.

As described in our Privacy Policy, we may sell or share personal information with participating lenders, financial institutions, and marketing partners. You can request access, deletion, or opt out of future sales — privacy requests: legal@gcdoesloans.com; security questions: questions@gcdoesloans.com.
